The staff is so cool !they help me to go in the desert. They have a lot of contacts in Egypt if you need to move. Great !!!!!!!

The staff were very helpful in arranging our luggage to meet us, and the reception was open 24 hours.

As I can understand that it was a difficult time during the protests. But after numerous phone calls to organise transport to the hotel they were quite unhelpful. Immediately after one phone call to the hotel I was informed that the hotel was in the centre of a dangerous and voilent protest. This was not even mentioned in our conversation. I believe we should have been warned that where we were entering was extremely unsafe, instead we were told to make our own way there and no mention of anything else was made.

location was very good and the price was good value

The staff took us for wealthy people and offered an extortionately priced desert camp trip, with alot of deliberate confusion over the the price and what was included. Left a bitter feeling because alot of effort was put into building our trust only to discover it was to swindle more money from us

Good hospitality, comfort facility and nice staff

      Variance of the breakfast

      The bed was good.

The breakfast was so poor. Just bread and coffee. If you travel to this hotel, be careful with the services you hire there. We took a private car to visit the pyramids, and the driver took us to a place for renting camels, and tried to force us to buy there. They were charging 10 times the price we finally got within the Giza square.

The personel was always helpful. Additionally they were very frank about things that were highly advertised but which were not worthwile to be seen ( for tourist freshly arrived that is a good thing to know!). The first time we entered our room, we were terrified because of the noise that could be heard from the street, but closer to 2 - 3 a.m. it is getting quite and in the morning untill 11 a.m. there is nobody in the streets so you could have a decent sleep:)

There were no towels in the room and no trash bin. If you ask for it, they give it but you do not find it in the rooms upon arrival. Additionally, when you arrive, don't get scared by the entrance from the street ( we had the impression we got to the wrong address but there was a sign indicating that the hotel was on the 4th floor so we just had to find the courage to get to the 4th floor and find a nice causy hotel.

      location

never slept because of traffic, 1 towel for 3 days, no curtains, no windows you could see out, these people are trying o start up but the hotels is on the fourth floor in a busy area, we were shocked when we arrived to a door way, and a lift that only went one was, bookings said fabulous, yes right for people from the amazon jungle, dont get me wrong the people were helpful, but there were no facilities and this certainly was ot as described. you get what you pay for in egypt, if you dont stay 5 star you will regret it

very good location and the people from the reception were very friendly and helpfully, reasonable price.

the building is just next to the main street so it was quite noisy even in the midnight, the room wasn't clean enough.

The staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in their guests. The location was great and the place was clean and comfortable. For the price it is by far the best hotel I have stayed in.

The travelers house hotel is a great place to stay! Like most people, I was a little anxious when booking my trip to Egypt, but I felt completely comfortable here.  Even when protests were occurring at Tahir Square whilst i was there, I felt completely at ease here.   The location is good and is walking distance to Egyptian Museum/Tahir Square and Islamic Cairo, but it is far enough so you are not close to any problems. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.  A/C was fine and I even enjoyed my own private balcony. The bathrooms were always kept in good condition and hot water was always available. The common area/lounge is a great place to rest after a long day and mix with other like minded travels.  Cable TV (with BBC) was good to keep on top of the action at Tahir Square. A decent Breakfast was also provided - eggs, cheese, bread and tea/coffee, much better than most places. All this aside, the best thing about Travelers House was Adele!! He's the MAN! He arranged a taxi to collect me from the airport, he organized any tour I wanted to go on, he recommended places to see/eat/visit whilst I was in Cairo,  he even helped me get Internet on my iPhone and wrote down instructions in Arabic if I was going anywhere tricky so I wouldnt get lost.   Basically, Adele definitely contributed to my great stay in Cairo and helped me in any way he could - I truly appreciate his help.  Also,  his English is great and he's a friendly guy who enjoys a good chat (like me) :-) I would definitely recommend staying at the Travelers House Hotel, it has everything you need, plus more, and it's sooo cheap! Thanks again Adele :-)

All staff was very nice, they all speak good english, are quick in organizing trips, guides & taxis, have useful city information and are very flexible regarding individual wishes. Unlike the majority of male egyption population, all staff knows how to keep distance (especially from female tourists) and they do not overkill you with friendlyness (if you have ever visited Cairo as a female tourist, you will certainly appreciate that!). The rooms are simple but clean. Additional sheets or towls are no problem. The location of the hostel is very central. All in all is the hostel very recommandable!

Nothing there is to critisize about the hostel itself; but the rooms are loud because of it's central location.

Good location. Just in the other side of Egyptian museum.

      Not so clean. Too many flies in the room;

I liked the fact that the staff was helping me especially adelle

I didnt liked that they didnt picked me from the airport although i gave my flight information and they confirmed that information..
